Vegan Hot Honey Popcorn
Sweet, spicy, and totally vegan, this Hot Honey Popcorn is an easy snack ready in 15 minutes. Pop your favorite kernels, drizzle with warm vegan hot honey, and enjoy a crunchy, flavorful treat perfect for movie nights or anytime snacking.
Equipment
- Large pot with lid or air popper
- Medium saucepan
- Wooden spoon or heat-resistant spatula
- Large mixing bowl

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels or ~10 cups air-popped popcorn
- 2 tbsp coconut oil or avocado oil
- 1/4 cup vegan hot honey or agave
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
- 1/2 tsp sea salt or to taste
Instructions
Pop the popcorn:
- If using a pot: Heat the oil over medium heat in a large pot. Add 3–4 popcorn kernels and cover. When they pop, add the rest of the kernels, cover, and shake occasionally until popping slows.
- If using an air popper: Pop according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Prepare the hot honey:
- In a medium saucepan, warm the vegan hot honey over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Stir in cayenne pepper and salt if using.
Coat the popcorn:
- Transfer popcorn to a large mixing bowl. Pour the warmed hot honey over the popcorn while stirring gently to coat evenly.
Serve immediately:
- Enjoy warm, or let cool slightly for a crunchy texture. Optional: drizzle extra vegan hot honey for more sweetness and heat.
