How does this compare to traditional Camembert?
Maverick is specifically crafted to mimic the “funk” and buttery mouthfeel of a high-quality Camembert or Brie. Thanks to the cave-aging process and live cultures, it develops a complex flavor profile that is indistinguishable from its dairy counterparts to many palates.
Is the rind edible?
Yes! The white, bloomy rind is a natural part of the aging process and is completely edible. It provides a beautiful texture and adds to the earthy, mushroomy notes of the cheese.
What is the best way to enjoy Maverick?
While it’s incredible on a cracker, we recommend serving Maverick with fresh baguette slices, fig jam, or sliced green apples. Always let it come to room temperature for at least 20 minutes before serving to experience the full “double-cream” texture.

Love me some vegan brie! Each brand does it their own way, but they all compare favorably to dairy versions. Bandit’s brie is definitely worth a try.

Not so much on texture

I love all Bandit products but this is my least favorite. It’s still delicious but I prefer the Barn Cat Brie.

Has more of a tang than I expected from brie, and the texture is a little more pasty than gooey. Still quite good, but I think I might try some other vegan brie options.
